While many summer plans have been changed this year, one tradition that we will be dearly holding onto is camping as a family! Social distancing in the wide open air is sure to cure any cabin fever, with plenty of memory-filled adventures for kids and parents alike. But we understand. It can be daunting to plan a camping trip with kids. Transporting food, water, shelter, sleeping bags, clothing, sunscreen, bug spray, and other survival basics to the woods is a challenging task—even without a kid or two running around.
To help get you on your way to immersing yourself in the great outdoors as a family, we partnered with amazingly talented artist and dear friend Lana’s Shop to create a camping packing list for your home in the wild. There is a fine balance to creating a comfy, homey campsite while also living minimally in nature. We tried to include the essentials to keeping little ones, big ones, and Mama Earth herself happy during your night under the stars! But feel free to add on or leave off as needed to make it just right for your family.
Here’s to all of those small moments in the wild that make this grand life. Now get packing!
